Yesterday I was writing to a company to request some information and found myself coming face-to-face with a un-expected complement; like a ninja from the dark:
“..it is always a pleasure to hear from someone who can spell, use the shift key, and knows how to put a sentence together ;-) You can’t imagine the sort of emails I get here every day, yours is a welcome breath of fresh air!”
Which brings me to wonder; why do people let their writing standards slip so low when they’re composing an email email? It’s not so hard is it? Of all people I should feel justified in sloppy writing; I’m both a dyslexic and a blogger; ’nuff said!
“We discovered a strange thing yesterday. I was handing a plate of chocolates to Thomas [my younger cousin] after lunch and he noticed one that looked a bit different, It was a snail that had come in through the window across the wall and onto the trolly where he decided to place himself very cleverly, amongst my chocolates. So, Georgie look out when you come next time you don’t know what surprise I might have for you.“
